Title:
ORGANIC ELECTROLUMINESCENT DEVICE, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME, DISPLAY COMPRISING SUCH ORGANIC ELECTROLUMINESCENT DEVICE, AND ILLUMINATING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2007/029461
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Disclosed is a material for organic EL devices which can be applied to coating-type organic EL devices. This material for organic EL devices exhibits high luminous efficiency while suppressing concentration quenching, and has high emission life and improved solubility of iridium complexes. Also disclosed are an organic EL device, a method for manufacturing such an organic EL device, and an illuminating device and display using such an organic EL device. Specifically disclosed is an organic electroluminescent device having at least a light-emitting layer sandwiched between an anode and a cathode, wherein the light-emitting layer contains a compound which has a partial structure represented by the following general formula (1). [Chemical formula 1] (1) (In the formula, R1-R7 respectively represent a hydrogen atom or a substituent, and at least one of R6 and R7 represents a substituent; and M represents a transition metal.)
