Abstract:
An organic electroluminescent element which comprises a positive electrode, a negative electrode and a light emitting layer, and wherein the light emitting layer contains a first compound, a second compound and a third compound. The singlet energy (S(M1)) of the first compound and the singlet energy (S(M2)) of the second compound satisfy the relation of mathematical formula (1); the electron affinity (Af(M1)) of the first compound and the electron affinity (Af(M2)) of the second compound satisfy the relation of mathematical formula (2); and the triplet energy (T(M1)) of the first compound satisfies the relation of mathematical formula (3). S(M2) ≥ S(M1) × 0.95 (mathematical formula (1)) Af(M2) - Af(M1) ≥ 0.2 eV (mathematical formula (2)) T(M1) ≤ 2.0 eV (mathematical formula (3))
