Abstract:
Disclosed is an organic electroluminescent element in which one electrode, at least one organic deposition layer and another electrode are sequentially formed in this order. The organic electroluminescent element is characterized in that the surface roughness (Ra) of the another electrode-side surface of the organic deposition layer and the thickness (t) of the organic deposition layer satisfy the following relation: 0.093 < Ra/t < 0.340. Also disclosed is a method for manufacturing an organic electroluminescent element, wherein one electrode, at least one organic deposition layer including a light-emitting layer, and another electrode are sequentially formed in this order. Deposition of the organic deposition layer is carried out so that the surface roughness (Ra) of the another electrode-side surface of the organic deposition layer and the thickness (t) of the organic deposition layer satisfy the following relation: 0.093 < Ra/t < 0.340.
