Abstract:
An organic electroluminescent element is configured in which first to nth electrodes are stacked from a support substrate side, at least one intermediate electrode is provided between the first to nth electrodes, and first to n-1th light emission units (n being an integer equal to or greater than 3) are provided between the electrodes. The organic electroluminescent element is provided with: first wiring which supplies current to the first electrode and the nth electrode; intermediate wiring which connects the intermediate electrode and the first wiring; and an opening/closing switch provided to the intermediate wiring, and/or a changeover switch for inverting the polarity of the intermediate electrode.
