Abstract:
An organic white light emitting element having a high emission efficiency, especially a highly efficient organic white light emitting element having such an emission spectrum that a peak exists in each wavelength region of red, green and blue. Since the spectral region of the lowest emission efficiency is red region, a highly efficient organic white light emitting element is obtained by introducing a red phosphorescence material. In order to prevent emission of light only from the red phosphorescence material, a second light emitting region (114) employing the red phosphorescence material (124) as a light emitting body is spaced apart from a first light emitting region (113) emitting light on the short wavelength side as compared with the second light emitting region, as shown on Fig.(1). In the arrangement of Fig.(1), an electron transporting material is preferably employed in a layer (115) between the first light emitting region and the second light emitting region and a Hall block material is more preferably employed.
