Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide an organic thin film transistor having improved mobility. The present invention provides an organic thin film transistor wherein: a channel section (13a) is provided between a source electrode (11) and a drain electrode (12), said channel section being configured from an organic semiconductor layer (13) containing an organic semiconductor material; the channel section contains a planar organic semiconductor crystal having an average surface roughness (Ra) of 2nm or less per 5 square μm; and the film thickness of the planar organic semiconductor crystal is 40 nm or less.
