Abstract:
The disclosed oscillator circuit includes: a piezoelectric resonator; an amplifying section including multi-staged inverters; and an inverter control section. The multi-staged inverters are a combination of: a capability-variable inverter that operates both during the initial period of starting oscillation and also after the oscillation has started, the capability thereof being variable between the initial period of starting oscillation and the period after the oscillation has started; and a connectable/disconnectable inverter that operates during the initial period of starting oscillation and is disconnected after the oscillation has started. During the initial period of starting oscillation, the inverter control section makes the connectable/disconnectable inverter and the capability-variable inverter operate and sets the capability of the capability-variable inverter to a low level. After the oscillation has started, the inverter control section disconnects the connectable/disconnectable inverter and sets the capability of the capability-variable inverter to a high level.
