Abstract:
An outer package material for power storage devices, the outer package material being composed of a multilayer body which sequentially comprises at least a base material layer, a barrier layer and a thermally fusible resin layer in this order, wherein: the barrier layer contains an aluminum alloy foil that has a composition containing 0.2% by mass to 2.0% by mass of Fe and 0.1% by mass to 5.0% by mass of Mg; and with respect to this aluminum alloy foil, the ratio of the length L1 of a high angle grain boundary to the length L2 of a low angle grain boundary per unit area as determined by a back scattering electron diffraction method satisfies the relational expression L1/L2 > 3.0.
