Abstract:
Provided is an overtube which an operator can easily hold. This overtube is provided with: a tube body; a cylindrical grip body connected to the proximal end of the tube body; a balloon mounted to the outer circumferential surface of the distal end side of the tube body; and an air supply conduit that extends in parallel with an endoscope insertion path from the tube body to the cylindrical grip body and is communication with the balloon. The cylindrical grip body is an integrally molded body provided with a first connection tube and a second connection tube which are integrally molded, the first connection tube extending obliquely outwardly from a first position in a side part of the cylindrical grip body towards the proximal end of the cylindrical grip body, the second connection tube extending obliquely outwardly from a second position, which is different from the first position, towards the proximal end of the cylindrical grip body. The first position and the second position are positioned on the same side of a reference plane perpendicular to a first plane and a second plane, the first plane being a plane perpendicular to the central axis of the cylindrical grip body, the second plane being a plane perpendicular to the first plane and intersecting the air supply conduit.
