Title:
PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF N'omega'-TRIFLUOROACETYLATED BASIC AMINO ACIDS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1997/032841
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A process for preparing an N'omega'-trifluoroacetylated basic amino acid from a basic amino acid and a trifluoroacetic acid ester, characterized by gradually adding a trifluoroacetic acid ester to an aqueous basic solution containing a basic amino acid in a concentration of about 5 to 40 % (w/v) based on the volume of the solvent charged and a basic pH regulator while keeping the aqueous solution at a pH of 10.6 to 11.4 and a temperature of 20 C or below to conduct a reaction, making the formed N'omega'-trifluoroacetylated basic amino acid crystallize out of the resulting aqueous solution, and separating the amino acid therefrom.
