Abstract:
The present invention relates to a glass-plate packaging method in which a plurality of glass plates are loaded into a vertical-storage packaging container that has: a bottom frame that supports the bottom edges of loaded glass plates; and a back board that supports one side of said glass plates. Said packaging method is provided with: a step in which a sheet-shaped spacer of a prescribed thickness is provided on top of the bottom frame and on the side of the back board that will support the glass plates, the height of the surface of said spacer that will face the loaded glass plates being roughly equal to or less than the height of the glass plates to be loaded; a step in which the plurality of glass plates are loaded onto the bottom frame with one side thereof supported by the aforementioned spacer side and sheets of paper are sandwiched between the glass plates so as to protrude a prescribed length past the top edges of the glass plates, forming protruding sections; and a step in which the protruding sections of the sheets of paper sandwiched between the glass plates are all folded in the same manner towards the spacer.
