Abstract:
A wireless communication system comprises first and second wireless access systems. The first wireless access system can perform large-capacity data transmissions, while the second wireless access system exhibits an excellent communication quality. In the wireless communication system, a packet transfer device (packet transfer device 300 or 1200) transfers a packet generated by a communication terminal (data system terminal 200 or vehicle-mounted terminal 1100). If a received packet includes no payloads, then the packet transfer device transfers the received packet to the first wireless access system and further generates and transmits, to the second wireless access system, the same packet as the received packet; or alternatively the packet transfer device transfers the received packet to the second wireless access system. If the received packet includes any payloads, then the packet transfer device transfers the received packet to the first wireless access system and further generates and transmits, to the second wireless access system, a packet that is obtained by deleting the payloads from the received packet.
