Abstract:
Disclosed is a packing material for electrochemical devices, such as a battery, said packing material being usable even under severe conditions, such as a high temperature and a low temperature. Also disclosed is an electrochemical device using the packing material. A laminated body having a metal layer and a thermocompression-bonding polyimide layer is used, and a hermetically-sealed packing structure is formed by having the thermocompression-bonding polyimide layer fused at the periphery of the laminated body, so that the electrochemical device is manufactured by hermetically packing the electrochemical device element (31) inside of the packing material (33).
