Provided is a technique capable of preventing confidential information on a workpiece from leaking in a process of transferring the workpiece. This pallet transfer system (10) comprises: a transfer device (300) which transfers a pallet for mounting a workpiece; a pallet storage unit (200) which stores a plurality of pallets; a work station (500) on which a worker mounts a workpiece on the pallet transferred from the pallet storage unit (200); a machine tool (400) which machines, at the work station (500), the workpiece mounted on the pallet; and a control device (50) which controls the transfer device (300). The control device (50), on the basis of information indicating whether or not a workpiece to be machined is a concealment target, determines whether or not the workpiece is a concealment target, transfers, through a first transfer method, the pallet to which the workpiece is mounted, when it is determined that the workpiece is not a concealment target, and transfers, through a second transfer method different from the first transfer method, the pallet to which the workpiece is mounted , when it is determined that the workpiece is a concealment target.
