Abstract:
A pants-type absorbent article (1) which includes an absorbent body (10) that is provided with an absorbent core (11) arranged along the vertical direction and that is folded at a lower end in the vertical direction to form a front side and a rear side, wherein the absorbent core (11) has a rear portion (10R), which is the portion folded to the rear side in the front-rear direction, and the absorbent core (11) has, in the rear portion (10R), a rear low basis weight region (39) which has an average basis weight that is lower than the surrounding regions and a buttocks high basis weight region (55) which is provided more toward the top in the vertical direction than the rear low basis weight region (39) and which has an average basis weight that is higher than the rear low basis weight region (39), and at least a portion of a boundary portion (55BF) between the rear low basis weight region (39) and the buttocks high basis weight region (55) inclines diagonally downward toward opposite outer sides from the center in the right direction.
