Abstract:
Provided is a paper sheet processing device (1) comprising: storage parts (23) – (28) for storing paper sheets; a temporary holding part (19) for temporarily holding the paper sheets prior to storage in the storage parts (23) – (25); an identification part (16) for identifying the paper sheets; a control part (18) for, according to the results of the identification of the paper sheets by the identification part (16), selecting any process from among a group of processes which includes a first deposit process and a second deposit process; and a conveyance part (15) for, when the first deposit process is selected, conveying the paper sheets to the storage parts (23) – (25) via the temporary holding part (19), and when the second deposit process is selected, conveying the paper sheets to the storage parts (26) – (28) without passing through the temporary holding part.
