Abstract:
This parking assistance device (8) comprises: a parking space detection unit (21) which detects a parking space (PS) for a vehicle (1) by using object detection information from a distance measurement sensor (5) provided on the vehicle (1); a detection status determination unit (22) which determines which of a plurality of detection statuses that are continuous in time is a status detected by the parking space detection unit (21); and a notification control unit (23) which executes, on the basis of the determination result by the detection status determination unit (22), a control to output a notification that changes sequentially depending on the status detected by the parking space detection unit (21).
