Abstract:
The present invention assists driving of a vehicle which is to be parked by using a function provided to a vehicle in a parked state. In a parking assistance system (100), a parking assistance apparatus (102) mounted on a second vehicle (2) has: a communication device (14) (reception unit) that receives image data transmitted from a first vehicle (1) when data of an image captured by an imaging unit (21) is transmitted from the first vehicle (1) in a case where a motion state determination unit determines that the second vehicle (2) is in a prescribed motion state; a display unit (12) that displays an image based on the image data transmitted from the first vehicle (1); and a display control unit that causes the display unit (12) to display the image based on the image data transmitted from the first vehicle (1) when the communication device (14) receives the image data transmitted from the first vehicle (1).
