Abstract:
A parking brake actuator is disclosed. According to one aspect of the present invention, provided is a parking brake actuator comprising: a motor for generating power; a reduction gear unit including a driving gear that is linked with a driving shaft of the motor and rotates, and a sun gear coupled to the driving gear so as to rotate therewith; a housing in which the motor and the reduction gear unit are accommodated; and a locking unit for restricting the rotation of the reduction gear unit, wherein the locking unit includes: a pair of locking members for locking and unlocking at least a portion of a rotary shaft of the sun gear; a plurality of elastic members for supporting each locking member toward the rotary shaft of the sun gear; and an electromagnet member, which generates , during the application of power, electromagnetic force so as to separate the locking members from the sun gear.
