Title:
PARTICLE DETECTOR AND AIR-CONDITIONER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/125121
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A particle detector is provided to detect organic particulates with a high degree of sensitivity. The particle detector includes: a collecting member (10) on the main surface to electrostatically collect particulates on the main surface; an illuminating unit (21) to illuminate the particulates captured on the main surface with excitation light; a light receiver (34) for receiving fluorescent light generated by the particulates when illuminated by the excitation light; and a detector for detecting organic particulates among the particulates captured on the main surface based on the intensity of the fluorescence received by the light receiver. A filter (37) is also provided between the main surface and the light receiver to cut light of a certain wavelength which is generated by materials illuminated by the excitation light when they are electrostatically collected on the main surface.
