Abstract:
Provided is a particle flow probe. The probe comprises a particle receiving layer and a specially designed columnar heat sink, capable of actively reducing the temperature of the particle receiving layer. The probe can also comprise a stress relief layer. The probe can be used for high-energy particle flow detection, and is specially adapted to measure a particle flow at a divertor and a first wall in a tokamak device.
