Abstract:
Disclosed is a wall flow-type particulate filter that reduces an increase in pressure loss due to coat layer formation. The particulate filter disclosed herein comprises a wall flow-type substrate and a coat layer formed on the substrate. The substrate comprises: an entrance-side cell, of which only the end on the exhaust gas inflow side is open; an exit-side cell, of which only the end on the exhaust gas outflow side is open; and a partition wall dividing the entrance-side cell from the exit-side cell, and having a plurality of pores communicating the entrance-side cell and the exit-side cell. The coat layer is provided on the walls of the pores and includes a first inorganic oxide and a second inorganic oxide. The average particle diameter of the first inorganic oxide is larger than the average particle diameter of the second inorganic oxide, and the weight percentage of the second inorganic oxide with respect to a total weight percentage of the first inorganic oxide and the second inorganic oxide of 100% is 10% to 50%.
