[Problem] To provide a passenger restraint device provided with a tension cloth that deploys toward a side portion of a seat when an airbag inflates and deploys, wherein a further improvement in passenger restraint performance can be achieved. [Solution] A passenger restraint device according to the present invention is characterized by comprising: a pair of airbags that are accommodated within a seatback of a seat and inflate and deploy toward respective sides of a passenger sitting in the seat; and a pair of tension cloths accommodated in a region extending from the inside of the seatback of the seat to the inside of a seat cushion so that the tension cloths deploy through surfaces on the opposite sides of the respective airbags from the passenger when the pair of accommodated airbags inflate and deploy. As viewed from above, when the airbags are inflated and deployed, the gap between the surfaces of the pair of airbags on the passenger side is narrower toward the front. The pair of tension cloths deploy toward the side portions of the seat due to the inflation and deployment of the pair of airbags, extend across from the seatback to the seat cushion, and support the surfaces on the opposite sides of the pair of respective airbags from the passenger.
