Abstract:
A path setting server is equipped with a storage unit and a path computing unit. Next hop information that indicates next hop candidates for each node is stored in the storage unit. In response to a path setting request indicating the source node and the destination node of a flow, the path computing unit designs a communication path therebetween. More specifically, a path designing unit includes a next hop determining unit that conducts "next hop determination processing" while referring to the next hop information. In next hop determination processing, the next hop determining unit randomly selects one of the next hop candidate nodes for the target node, and updates the target node as the selected candidate. After initializing the target node as the source node, the next hop determining unit determines the communication path one hop at a time by repeating the next hop determination process until the target node becomes the destination node.
