Provided are a person detection system and program whereby the possibility of misdetection in micromotion detection can be reduced. A person detection system (1) is provided with a determination unit (320) and a changing unit (321). The determination unit (320) detects residence of a human body in a detection region and entry of a human body into the detection region, on the basis of a signal from a pyroelectric sensor (10) used to detect a human body in the detection region. The changing unit (321) changes a residence detection threshold value used in residence detection, in accordance with the output value of the pyroelectric sensor (10) when detection of entry into the detection region is being performed by the determination unit (320).
