Abstract:
The present invention relates to use of a piperlongumine-based compound for treating vascular diseases. Particularly, the piperlongumine-based compound according to the present invention promotes the expression of HO-1 protein and, simultaneously, inhibits the expression of MCP-1 protein, and thus can be effectively used in the treatment of vascular diseases such as arteriosclerosis.
