The present invention provides a pharmaceutical composition that includes artificial siRNA capable of suppressing hepatitis B virus gene expression, a lipid that is a compound represented by formula (1) or a salt thereof, cholesterol, and a lipid having a polyethylene glycol structure, wherein the artificial siRNA includes a nucleic acid molecule composed of a base sequence represented by sequence A below. (Sequence A) 5'-CGUCUGUGCCUUCUCAUCUUCAU-P-AUGAAGAUGAGAAGGCACAGACGGG-3' In the formula, P represents a prescribed linker. In the formula, X, R2-R12, a, b, c, and d have the meanings defined in the specification.
