Abstract:
This photochromic composition contains a predetermined combination of: at least one photochromic compound represented by general formula 1; and at least one selected from the group consisting of a photochromic compound represented by general formula A, a photochromic compound represented by general formula B, and a photochromic compound represented by general formula C. (In general formula 1, R30 and R31 both represent an ethyl group, R32-R35 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or an electron-withdrawing group, provided that at least one among R32-R35 represents an electron-withdrawing group, and R36, R37, B7, and B8 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or a substituent. In general formula A, R1-R6, B1, and B2 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or a substituent. In general formula B, R7-R12, B3, and B4 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or a substituent, and R13 and R14 each independently represent an electron-donating group. In general formula C, R15-R20, B5, and B6 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or a substituent, and one among R21 and R22 represents a hydrogen atom and the other represents an electron-donating group.)
