The photographing optical lens (10) comprises five lenses in total, the five lenses sequentially from an object side to an image side being: a first lens (L1) having a positive refractive power, a second lens (L2) having a positive refractive power, a third lens (L3), a fourth lens (L4) having a positive refractive power, and a fifth lens (L5) having a negative refractive power, where the overall focal length of the photographing lens (10) is f, the focal length of the first lens (L1) is f1, the focal length of the fourth lens (L4) is f4, the radius of curvature of the object-side surface of the second lens (L2) is R3, the radius of curvature of the image-side surface of the second lens (L2) is R4, the radius of curvature of the object-side surface of the fifth lens (L5) is R9, the radius of curvature of the image-side surface of the fifth lens (L5) is R10, the on-axis thickness of the fourth lens (L4) is d7, the on-axis thickness of the fifth lens (L5) is d9, and the following relationships are satisfied: 1.80 ≤ f1/f ≤ 3.50; 1.25 ≤ d7/d9 ≤ 1.80; 0.40 ≤ f4/f ≤ 0.90; 3.50 ≤ R9/R10 ≤ 7.50; and 1.00 ≤ R3/R4 ≤ 2.00. The photographing optical lens (10) is provided with excellent optical performance and, at the same time, satisfies requirements for a large aperture, a wide angle, and an ultrathin design.
