Abstract:
A pigment dispersion comprising (a) bisacetoacetarylide pigment, (b) styrene-acrylic acid copolymer, (c) basic compound and (d) wetting agent, wherein the wetting agent (d) contains (e) diol compound, and wherein the diol compound (e) is any of compounds of the general formula: A-B (1) (in which A is a linear or branched alkyl with a principal chain of 2 or more carbon atoms, and B is a linear or branched dihydroxyalkyl with a principal chain of 2 or more carbon atoms, provided that the sum of carbon atoms of A and B principal chains is 5 or more and the sum of A and B carbon atoms is in the range of 5 to 10), or the general formula: C-O-D (2) (in which each of C and D is a linear or branched monohydroxyalkyl with a principal chain of 2 or more carbon atoms, provided that the sum of carbon atoms of C and D principal chains is 5 or more and the sum of C and D carbon atoms is in the range of 5 to 10), and wherein the mass ratio of diol compound (e) to bisacetoacetarylide pigment (a), (e)/(a), is in the range of 3/100 to 15/100.
