Abstract:
Disclosed are a pipe cutting apparatus and a horseshoe opening cutting method therefor. The pipe cutting apparatus comprises a machine body, with a cutting device and a conduit clamping device being installed on the machine body. The conduit clamping device comprises a first clamping base, a second clamping base and a clamping device base, wherein the first clamping base and the second clamping base are arranged opposite each other on the clamping device base one behind the other and cooperate with each other in a front-back manner to clamp a conduit, the first clamping base is fixed to the clamping device base, the second clamping base is driven by a clamping electric motor or a third clamping air cylinder to slide forwards and backwards on the clamping device base, the clamping device base is installed on the machine body by means of a rotating shaft and can be driven by a rotation driving device to rotate, the cutting device feeds a blade forwards and backwards, an axis of the rotating shaft is located on a blade-feeding cutting face of the cutting device, and after the conduit is clamped by the first clamping base and the second clamping base, an axis of a conduit end linear section of the conduit intersects with the axis of the rotating shaft. By means of the solution, a horseshoe opening can be rapidly and accurately formed by means of cutting.
