Title:
PLANT FIBER-REINFORCED THERMOPLASTIC RESIN MATERIAL FOR MOLDING, AND PRODUCTION METHOD AND MOLDED PRODUCT THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2015/002074
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
[Problem] When using plant fibers to manufacture highly-rigid fiber-reinforced plastic resin materials and molded products, the problem addressed by the present invention is to provide a plant fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin material that has higher productivity, low cost and high quality by avoiding colors and odors in the resin material and molded products and by decreasing the amount of tar-like components that adhere to the mold surface, and to provide a molded product of said resin material. [Solution] This plant fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin material for molding has a 0.3 wt% or lower water content containing a thermoplastic resin and plant fibers derived from palm fruit extraction residue and/or palm empty fruit bunch as the raw material. By preventing thermolysis, the tar component adhering to the forming mold surface can be greatly reduced and moldability can also be greatly improved.
