Title:
PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2007/138700
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
In a plasma display panel (PDP) wherein lattice-like ribs are formed, an impurity
gas inside the panel is easily exhausted. The PDP is formed by arranging a pair
of glass substrates (11, 21) by facing them and sealing the outer circumference
section with a glass sealing material (41). The lattice-like ribs are formed
in the display area (31) of the PDP, and a phosphor layer is formed on the inner surface
of a cell surrounded by the ribs. Dummy ribs having the same shape as the ribs are
formed in a non display area (32) positioned outside the display area. An outer
circumference region of the ribs and the dummy ribs and an area (43) between the
ribs and the dummy ribs operate as ventilation paths to an ventilation hole (42)
for exhausting the impurity gas inside the PDP.
