Abstract:
[Problem] The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a plate space adjusting device with which it is possible to more effectively exert a force required for orthodontics on a dentition; and a plate orthotic apparatus equipped with same. [Solution] A plate space adjusting device 50 comprises: a first securing member 60; a second securing member 70; and a space adjustment mechanism 80 which is capable of adjusting the space between the first securing member 60 and the second securing member 70. The space adjustment mechanism 80 comprises: a spring 88 which serves as a biasing member 82 for biasing the first securing member 60 and the second securing member 70 in a direction that separates the respective members away from each other; and a motion range regulating member 86 for regulating the range of motion. The space adjustment mechanism 80 is configured such that: the first securing member 60 comprises a first biasing member insertion part 64; the second securing member 70 comprises a second biasing member insertion part 74; and the spring 88 can be replaced with one having a longer natural length in response to an extension of the space between the first securing member 60 and the second securing member 70.
