Abstract:
A plate-type heat exchanger according to this disclosure which is equipped with a first heat transfer plate, a second heat transfer plate and a third heat transfer plate, is obtained by layering plate groups on one another in a manner such that the first heat transfer plate and the second heat transfer plate face one another and the first heat transfer plate and the third heat transfer plate face one another, and has a space in which a heat transfer unit for transferring heat between the second heat transfer plate and the third heat transfer plate is positioned in a gap between the second heat transfer plate and the third heat transfer plate of two adjacent plate groups, wherein: the header section of at least one heat transfer plate among the first heat transfer plate, the second heat transfer plate and the third heat transfer plate has a projection which projects toward the channel side; and the plate thickness of the second heat transfer plate and of the third heat transfer plate is thinner than the plate thickness of the first heat transfer plate.
