A plated steel plate for a battery container, which can provide a battery having excellent discharging characteristics without forming a conductive layer, which is mainly composed of graphite, in the battery container, and the battery container and the battery using the battery container. On a side of the plated steel plate to be a battery container inner plane, a dispersed plated layer wherein an extremely fine carbonaceous material is dispersed in the plated layer is formed, heat treatment is performed, and a metal layer is provided as the plated steel plate for the battery container. The battery container is formed by processing the plated steel plate to have a bottomed cylindrical shape.
