Abstract:
Provided is a platen and a printing device which make it possible to reduce the possibility that a position at which ejected ink attaches to cloth is shifted from an intended position on the cloth. A platen 5 comprises a board 50, an attachment member 8, and a sheet 7. The attachment member 8 and the sheet 7 are stacked on the upper surface of the board 50 in this order from the bottom. The sheet 7 includes a plurality of protrusions 71 which are arranged at predetermined intervals. The protrusions 71 protrude upward and frontward from the upper surface 70 of the sheet 7. Each of the protrusions 71 is tapered from the base part thereof toward the end thereof. The ends of the protrusions 71 catch fibers 92 of a T-shirt 90 which is set on the platen 5. A printer ejects ink from a head so as to print on the T-shirt 90 which is set on the platen 5. After the printing is finished, a user draws the T-shirt 90 frontward so as to remove the T-shirt 90 from the platen 5.
