Abstract:
A pneumatic radial tire for heavy load capable of effectively preventing the
separation of a rubber chafer from occurring in the area thereof corresponding
to a bead heel part. The pneumatic radial tire (10) for heavy load comprises a bead
part (12) in which a bead core (14) is buried, a radial carcass (16) extending from
one side to the other side of the bead part (12), folded from the inside to the outside
around the bead core (14) and locked, and the rubber chafer (22) formed on the opposite
side of the bead core (14) of the radial carcass (16). An angle θ formed by
the steel cord (24S) of a wire chafer (24) formed on the outside of the radial carcass
(16) inside the bead part (12) and the carcass ply cord (16S) of the radial carcass
(16) is appropriated according to a shear strain produced in the rubber chafer
(22) to effectively prevent the separation of the rubber chafer (22) from occurring
in the area thereof corresponding to the bead heel part (26).
