Abstract:
Disclosed is a pneumatic tire having both lightweightness and improved durability.
Specifically disclosed is a pneumatic tire wherein at least one of a carcass ply
and a belt ply or a reinforcing cord in a belt reinforcing layer is composed of a
para-aramid fiber cord, and the para-aramid fiber cord satisfies the relation
represented by the following formulae (I)-(III). E ≤ 32.14 × T -
236 (I) E ≥ 150 (II) T ≤ 19 (III) (In the formulae, E represents an
elastic modulus (cN/dtex) at a load of 49N at 25˚C, and T represents a tensile
strength (cN/dtex).)
