Abstract:
Provided is a pneumatic tire which has excellent durability.
The present invention relates to a pneumatic tire which has a sidewall and a casing and which is characterized in that: the sidewall is formed from a rubber composition for sidewalls, said composition containing 30-70% by mass of a butadiene rubber in 100% by mass of the rubber component, while containing more than 1.29 parts by mass but less than 2.30 parts by mass of sulfur per 100 parts by mass of the rubber component; the casing is obtained by covering a steel cord with a rubber composition for covering steel cords; and the sulfur content in the rubber composition for sidewalls and the sulfur content in the rubber composition for covering steel cords satisfy the following relational expression.
2.70 < (the sulfur content relative to 100 parts by mass of the rubber component in the rubber composition for covering steel cords) - (the sulfur content relative to 100 parts by mass of the rubber component in the rubber composition for sidewalls) < 4.20
