Abstract:
Provided is a pneumatic tire that enables suppression of the approach of insect pests (mosquitoes, etc.) and small animals (cats, etc.), or enables suppression of the proliferation of mosquitoes and the like in pools of water formed inside the tire. This pneumatic tire is provided with: a tread portion 1 that extends in the tire circumferential direction and forms a ring; a pair of sidewall portions 2 disposed on both sides of the tread portion 1; and a pair of bead portions 3 disposed on the inside in the tire radial direction of the sidewall portions 2, wherein an insect-proof layer 30 having extermination performance or repellency with respect to insect pests, is provided on the innermost surface of the tire, or a repellent layer 40 having repellency or extermination performance with respect to insect pests or small animals, is provided on the outermost surface of the tire.
