Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a fuel-efficient pneumatic tire with excellent rubber strength, and with which both high-load capacity and compactness can be obtained. To address the above problem, the present invention provides a pneumatic tire mounted on a vehicle and comprising a tread that contacts a road surface and a belt layer that is disposed on the inside of the tread in the tire radial direction. The pneumatic tire is characterized in that the outer diameter of the pneumatic tire is 350-600 mm inclusive, provided that RW is the rim width of a rim wheel attached to the pneumatic tire and SW is the tire cross-sectional width of the pneumatic tire, the relationship 0.78 ≤ RW / SW ≤ 0.88 is satisfied, and a rubber composition including a rubber component containing diene rubber and a mercaptocarboxylic acid compound is used for the pneumatic tire.
