Abstract:
Provided is a pneumatic tire capable of improving steering stability of the tire while ensuring communicability of a transponder. The pneumatic tire has structure in which a carcass layer 4 is wrapped around bead cores 5 from the inner side to the outer side of the tire, wherein the carcass layer 4 is formed using reinforcement cords including polyester fiber cords, the elongation at break EB of the reinforcement cords of the carcass layer 4 is in the range from 20% to 30%, and a transponder 20 is disposed between a position P1 15 mm from a top end 5e of the bead core 5 on the outer side in the tire radial direction and a position P2 5 mm from a terminal end 7e of a belt layer 7 on the inner side in the tire radial direction.
