Abstract:
Provided is a pneumatic tire for which the communication capability of a transponder can be improved. This pneumatic tire comprises a tread section 1 that extends in the tire circumferential direction and has an annular form, a pair of side wall sections 2 located on both sides of the tread section 1, and a pair of bead sections 3 located on the tire-diameter-inner sides of the side wall sections 2, a transponder 20 being embedded in the tire, wherein a composite sheet 30 that has a dielectric 31 constituting a substrate and conductors 32 periodically arranged on the dielectric 31 and that functions as an artificial magnetic conductor is located on the tire-widthwise inner side of the transponder 20.
