Abstract:
Provided are a polar coding method and apparatus. The method comprises: acquiring a basic sequence, wherein the basic sequence comprises N0 sub-channel labels; sequentially reading first sub-channel labels from the basic sequence; according to the first sub-channel label read each time, sequentially reading, starting from an Mth sub-channel label from the basic sequence, 2m second sub-channel labels; and adding q * N0 to each sub-channel label from among the 2m second sub-channel labels to obtain 2m third sub-channel labels, and taking sub-channels corresponding to the third sub-channel labels as information bits to construct polar codes. By means of constructing polar codes of other code lengths on the basis of a sequence of an N0 length, the method can reduce the lengths of polar codes which need to be stored, reduces the complexity and is easy to implement.
