Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a polarizer which can suppress the loss of color in a high-temperature environment even when an end face of the polarizer is in contact with an adhesive. [Solution] This polarizer includes a cured layer of a polymerizable liquid crystal compound and a dichroic dye oriented in the cured layer. A contour of the polarizer in a plan view includes a linear portion, and the straightness of the linear portion is at most 0.10 mm.
