Abstract:
A polarizing plate including a polarizer and a base material film. The polarizing plate comprises a stretched laminate. The laminate includes a polarizer material film and an unstretched base material film. The polarizer material film comprises a stretched original film. The polarizer includes a dichroic material and has a thickness T of no more than 20 µm and a retardation Re in the in-plane direction of the base material film in the polarizing plate of no more than 20 nm. The laminate may further include an adhesive layer between the polarizer material film and the unstretched base material film.
