Abstract:
Provided is a polarizing plate that exhibits excellent durability in high-temperature high-humidity environments despite having a low-resistance adhesive layer. A polarizing plate according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a polarizer; a protective layer provided on one side of the polarizer; a resin layer provided on another side of the polarizer; and an adhesive layer provided on the side, of the resin layer, opposite from the polarizer. The protective layer is constituted of a triacetyl cellulose film. The adhesive layer contains an electrically-conductive component, and the surface resistance value thereof is from 1.0×108Ω/□ to 1.0×1012Ω/□. The resin layer is a solidified product or a thermally-cured product of a coating film of an organic solvent solution of a resin, and the thickness of the resin layer is 2 μm or less. An electrically-conductive-component penetration suppression layer is provided between the polarizer and the protective layer.
