Disclosed are a policy control method and an apparatus. The policy control method comprises: a slice policy control function (SPCF) entity making a policy decision for a network slice and formulating a first policy, wherein the SPCF entity belongs to a slice specific core network function (SCNF) entity, and the SCNF entity is a network slice selected by a common control network function (CCNF) entity for a user equipment; the SPCF entity sending the formulated first policy to a content provider charging function (CPCF) entity so as to carry out policy negotiation with the CPCF, wherein the CPCF entity belongs to the CCNF entity; the SPCF entity receiving a second policy returned by the CPCF entity after making a policy decision for the first policy; and the SPCF entity providing the SCNF entity with the second policy so that the SCNF entity executes the second policy.
