Abstract:

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a polishing device which allows easily processing or correcting the shape of a polishing surface that is not flat. This polishing device is provided with: a polishing member (10) having a polishing surface in a shape that matches the shape an end (KE) of a workpiece to be polished (K); a tool (41) which has the same shape as the shape of the end (KE) and which functions either as a shape processing cutting tool for processing the polishing shape of the polishing member (10) into a shape that matches the shape of the end (KE), or as a surface modification tool for modifying the polishing surface to a shape that matches the polishing member shape; and a contact mechanism (40) which brings the tool (41) into contact with the polishing surface of the polishing member (10).
